Music has always been a powerful medium to capture the essence of our experiences, dreams, and reflections. Today, I'm thrilled to announce the release of my new album, "The Oak Album," a collection of songs that weave together personal narratives, social commentaries, and emotional landscapes.

Drawing inspiration from a wide array of influences, each track on "The Oak Album" aims to tell a unique story:

- "Wrote from My Heart" – A nostalgic tribute to my mother's vinyl records - "The Old Man in the Mirror" – Introspective reflections on maturity - "Unseen Bonds" – The hidden connections that shape our lives - "Unethical Tides" – The moral complexities of our modern world - "Growing Tension" – Economic disparities, inspired by Springsteen's "Tom Joad," updated for current conditions - "Lost and Found" – The turbulent seas of love and self-discovery - "The Lighthouse (A Beacon of Hope)" – Resilience and renewal - "Montana Skies" and "Song of New Jersey" – Celebrating the beauty and spirit of different places. With my wife's origins in New Jersey and many of our family still living there, I hoped to create a song they would enjoy. - "Lady Jane" – Inspired by Rod Stewart's "Baby Jane," considering how that relationship might have evolved in a modern setting - "The London Oak" – Homage to London through the telling of a historic tree - "Rise Up!" – An anthem dedicated to my roots in South Africa. As an expat living in the UK, I wanted to create a song that could be an anthem for South Africans at home and abroad, using pride as the centre of its message.
